About the carbon filter
Activated carbon has an enormous internal surface area that adsorbs many dissolved contaminants as water passes through it. A whole-house carbon filter improves the smell, taste and colour of the water at every tap.
Carbon filtration works well after a sand or iron filter, which remove the particles that would otherwise clog the carbon bed.

Questions about the carbon filter
Does a carbon filter make water safe to drink?
A carbon filter improves taste and odour and removes many chemicals, but it does not remove dissolved salts or all microorganisms. For drinking water we recommend an RO + UV purifier.
